Abdul Mateen Siddiqui Appointed State President; Sonam Bagwari and Abha Barthwal Given Key Responsibilities

Lucknow: The Samajwadi Party (SP) has stepped up efforts to strengthen its organisational structure in Uttarakhand ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections. The party has appointed a new state president along with two key organisational in-charges.

Haldwani resident Abdul Mateen Siddiqui has been appointed as the State President of the Samajwadi Party in Uttarakhand. Sonam Bagwari has been named the state in-charge, while Abha Barthwal has been given responsibility as the in-charge of the Garhwal division.

The appointments followed a recent meeting between SP chief Akhilesh Yadav and party leaders from Uttarakhand. Following his directions, Abdul Mateen Siddiqui, a resident of Azad Nagar in Haldwani, Nainital district, was entrusted with the responsibility of leading the party’s state organisation.

Under Siddiqui’s leadership, the party is expected to focus on expanding its organisational network and strengthening its activities across Uttarakhand.

Sonam Bagwari, a resident of Dehradun, has been assigned responsibility for the entire state. Her role will include coordinating organisational activities and helping accelerate party programmes across Uttarakhand.

Meanwhile, Abha Barthwal, also from Dehradun, has been appointed as the in-charge of the Garhwal division. The appointment is aimed at strengthening the party organisation and coordination at the divisional level.

Through these appointments, the Samajwadi Party has indicated its intention to further activate its organisational machinery in Uttarakhand and prepare for upcoming political activities.
