Agra:The Agra Police Commissionerate has intensified efforts to trace Dinesh Chandra, a man who has been missing for nearly 25 years, and has announced a cash reward of ₹50,000 for anyone providing credible information about his whereabouts.
According to police officials from Etmaddaula Police Station, Dinesh Chandra, son of Prem Chandra, had reportedly left his home without informing anyone around 25 years ago. Police records state that he was a mentally ill person at the time of his disappearance.
Dinesh Chandra is connected to a long-pending criminal case registered at Etmaddaula Police Station under Case No. 458/1985, sections 302 and 452 of the Indian Penal Code. He was convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment, and was later released on bail.
Police officials said that an appeal filed before the Hon’ble Allahabad High Court is currently under consideration. The High Court has issued orders directing Dinesh Chandra to appear before the court, making it necessary for the police to locate him at the earliest.
The Agra Police have appealed to the general public to cooperate in tracing the missing individual. Any person having information related to Dinesh Chandra’s location is requested to immediately inform the police. The identity of the informant will be kept strictly confidential.
