Agra,To celebrate Uttar Pradesh Day 2026 in a grand manner, district-level Junior category sports competitions will be organized from January 24 to 26, 2026, at Eklavya Sports Stadium, Sadar Bazaar, Agra, under the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Birth Centenary Year.
The competitions are being organized under the aegis of the Directorate of Sports, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow, and conducted by the Regional Sports Office, Eklavya Stadium, Agra. The events will include Kabaddi (Boys & Girls) and Basketball (Boys) categories.
According to the organizers, Kabaddi competitions for boys and girls will be held from January 24 to 25, while the Basketball (Boys) competition will continue from January 24 to 26, 2026. All matches will begin at 11:00 AM.
Teams from various schools of the district will participate in the tournaments. Players participating in the competitions must not be more than 20 years of age as on January 31, 2026. Participants have been instructed to report at the stadium by 10:00 AM along with their physical education teachers.
The Directorate of Sports, Uttar Pradesh will award cash prizes to the winners: ₹700 for first place, ₹600 for second place, and ₹500 for third place. Participation in the competitions is completely free of cost.
The organizers have appealed to all educational institutions of the district to encourage maximum participation and support the promotion of sports among young talents.
