Aligarh. With the aggressive action carried out by America and Israel against Iran, and with the martyrdom of Iranian Supreme Leader Khamenei, the concerns of Dukhtaran-e-Millat and Farzandan-e-Tauheed increased. However, despair did not increase; rather, with a renewed spirit and raising the slogan “How many Hussainis will you kill, a Hussaini will emerge from every home,” Farzandan-e-Tauheed and Dukhtaran-e-Millat came out in protest holding pictures of the martyred Ayatollah Khamenei in their hands as soon as the news of the martyrdom of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei surfaced. Among the protesters, on one hand there was an open expression of love and devotion toward Ayatollah Khamenei, while on the other hand hatred against America and Israel was evident. The protesters were chanting slogans such as “One more disgraced than the other, whether America or Israel,” making clear what status the enemies of humanity hold in their view.
It is worth mentioning that people kept confirming the news of Syed Ali Khamenei’s martyrdom until late at night. The reason was that they did not trust American or Western media. But later, when Iran confirmed the news of the martyrdom of Iranian Supreme Leader Khamenei, a wave of grief and anger spread among the people. People began recalling the bravery, courage, and boldness of Syed Ali Khamenei, and his sacrifices regarding the freedom of the First Qibla were also remembered. Every eye was tearful; many people would break down upon taking his name.
On Sunday, after the news of Khamenei’s martyrdom was confirmed, a procession was taken out against his martyrdom from the Hussaini Mosque located in Zahra Bagh, Aligarh. Farzandan-e-Tauheed and Dukhtaran-e-Millat held pictures of the Supreme Leader in their hands. There was anger against America and Israel and grief for the martyr. Slogans of “Death to America” and “Death to Israel” were raised. The procession passed through Jeevangarh, then Medical Road, ADM Compound, and Bab-e-Syed, reaching the Circle. There too, everyone united and raised slogans. After that, a memorandum addressed to the President of the Republic was submitted to the ACM Second.
The memorandum stated that it is being presented with profound sorrow, grief, and anger in reference to the recent violent and shocking aggression in Iran, as a result of which news has been received of the alleged martyrdom of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Syed Ali Khamenei, and members of his family. This loss is said to be the result of a cruel military attack carried out by America and Israel, which is a blatant violation of human dignity and the sanctity of sovereign leadership. These killings are not an isolated incident but the culmination of a broader aggressive policy that has deeply affected Iran’s leadership, scientific community, and ordinary citizens.
This tragedy must be understood in the context of the Iran-Israel war that took place from 13 to 24 June 2025 (referred to as the “Twelve-Day War”). During this period, Israeli forces carried out sudden airstrikes deep inside Iranian territory, killing senior military commanders, nuclear scientists, and administrative officials. These attacks caused widespread casualties and severe damage to national infrastructure. It is noteworthy that Iran’s retaliatory actions were defensive responses to the initial attacks, not the first aggressive move. Although Iran repeatedly expressed a desire for a diplomatic solution and tried to avoid war, its cities, families, and national institutions faced destruction, and numerous citizens were martyred.
The current situation has reached an extremely dangerous level. The recent killing of sixty schoolgirls has shaken the global community. Targeting these innocent girls, along with many non-combatant civilians and intellectuals, is a violation of the fundamental principles of humanity. These acts are clear violations of international law, particularly the principles of state sovereignty and protection of civilians enshrined in the United Nations Charter. Targeting educational institutions and the unlawful killing of officials reflect the complete erosion of the global rules-based order, where diplomacy has been replaced by unchecked aggression.
In view of this unprecedented humanitarian crisis, we urge the Government of India, which has historically supported peace, non-alignment, and respect for sovereignty, to play an active role in this matter. The shedding of innocent blood and the erosion of international norms cannot be a matter of silence for a responsible country like India.
We demand from the Government of India that clear and strong condemnation of these unilateral aggressive acts be issued; an immediate ceasefire be demanded to prevent further loss of life; and international accountability be ensured for violations of sovereign borders and the disproportionate use of force.
Leadership should be taken in multilateral diplomatic initiatives to reduce tensions and restore regional and global stability, and India’s voice is important to ensure that misuse of power does not replace justice and that the principles of peace and justice are re-established in the international community.
On this occasion, Maulana Dr. Asghar Ejaz Qaimi, Chairman Shia Diniyat, Maulana Syed Zahid Hussain, Maulana Bahlol Abidi, Maulana Mahboob Halori, Mr. Mukhtar Zaidi, and a large number of people were present.

During the protest, it was clearly visible among those participating in the procession that, in their view, Iranian Supreme Leader Khamenei is not the name of a single individual but the name of a mission and a movement — standing against aggression and oppression, supporting the oppressed, confronting falsehood, standing firm, and embodying a truth-loving personality. Not only history, but even the heavens, after a long time, witnessed such a scene where followers of all schools of thought among Muslims were seen together.
