Ayaz Khan Achchu calls it a deliberate attempt to undermine rising Congress leadership in Rudauli
Ayodhya, : A major political controversy erupted on Tuesday after Justice Warrior Ayaz Khan Achchu strongly condemned the Uttar Pradesh government for allegedly ignoring the security and official protocol of K.H. Muniyappa, senior Congress leader and Cabinet Minister in the Karnataka government.
Calling the incident “a dark chapter of political misconduct,” Achchu said it was not merely a breach of protocol but a deliberate attempt to weaken democratic values and undermine the growing influence of Congress leadership in the Rudauli Assembly constituency.

The Incident
On 18 November, Minister Muniyappa arrived at Lucknow Airport and travelled to Samgra village, under Hansrajpur Post in the Rudauli Assembly constituency, to attend the wedding ceremony of the nephew of senior Congress leader and two-time Assembly candidate Dayanand Shukla.
Congress leaders asserted that:
-
The Uttar Pradesh government, Ayodhya district administration, and local authorities were officially informed about the minister’s visit.
-
Despite this, no security, escort vehicle, or traffic clearance was provided from the airport to the village.
-
Muniyappa’s convoy had to travel through long, deserted, and insecure routes without any police protection, posing a serious security risk.
Ayaz Khan Achchu said,
“Such negligence is unacceptable in a democratic setup. This is an attack on the dignity of a respected guest and a violation of established protocol.”
Who is K.H. Muniyappa?
A veteran politician and prominent Dalit leader, K.H. Muniyappa has had a distinguished political career:
-
Elected seven times from the Kolar Lok Sabha constituency (1991–2019)
-

-

-
Won the Devanahalli Assembly seat in 2023
-

Congress leaders say the failure to provide him security was both “shocking and disrespectful”.

“The attempt to ignore protocol was a calculated move to undermine the growing influence of Dayanand Shukla.”
Violation of Protocol?
According to the State Warrant of Precedence and parliamentary protocol, the following arrangements are mandatory for a visiting minister:
-
Full security cover
-
Escort and pilot vehicles
-
Route clearance
-
Traffic control
-
Presence of key administrative officials
Congress leaders claim none of these were provided, indicating deliberate neglect.
