Developed and manufactured entirely in India, MantrAsana marks a major leap forward in surgical robotics. Compact, ergonomic, and portable, the system enables surgeons to perform telesurgeries directly from their offices without occupying a full operating room.

Unlike conventional robotic setups, MantrAsana is a self-contained unit with all electronics built into an advanced chair. Surgeons operate using lightweight 3D magnification glasses and magnetic sensor-based controls, allowing real-time precision and responsiveness from virtually any location.
The launch event in New Delhi brought together leading medical experts including Dr. Sudhir Srivastava, Founder and Chairman of SS Innovations International; Dr. Sudhir Rawal, Medical Director, Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute & Research Centre; Dr. Vishwa Srivastava, CEO, APAC, SS Innovations International; Dr. Lalit Malik, Chief Cardiac Surgeon, Jaipur Manipal Hospital; Dr. Somashekhar S P, Chairman, Medical Advisory Board, Aster DM Healthcare (GCC & India); and Dr. Venkatesh Munikrishnan, Consultant Colorectal & Robotic Surgeon, Apollo Hospitals.
Speaking at the unveiling, Dr. Sudhir Srivastava described the innovation as “a monumental step toward making advanced surgical care accessible to everyone.” He added that MantrAsana showcases how Indian innovation can bridge healthcare disparities by “bringing a surgeon’s expertise directly to the patient, no matter where they are.”
Dr. Sudhir Rawal highlighted the clinical impact, noting that MantrAsana “empowers surgeons to extend their expertise beyond hospital walls” and “makes world-class surgical care accessible anywhere.”
The company emphasized that the new console aligns with its mission to democratize robotic surgery and decentralize medical excellence. By supporting global collaboration, mentorship, and upskilling, MantrAsana could redefine how surgery is practiced and taught worldwide.
The compact and connected console provides high-definition 3D visualization and precision comparable to advanced robotic systems but with significantly greater accessibility.
MantrAsana is slated for commercial release in India by December 2025, with an international rollout expected soon after.
