Nine Special Camps Set Up Across the City; Over ₹34 Lakh Recovered
Agra. Torrent Power has launched a major consumer-friendly initiative offering significant relief on long-pending electricity bills. The Electricity Bill Relief Scheme, which began on December 1, is receiving overwhelming response from consumers. Under this scheme, 100% interest waiver is being provided on old dues along with special concessions on the principal amount. To facilitate consumers, nine special camps have been set up across the city—three Customer Service Centers and six Collection Centers.
According to Torrent Power, 123 consumers have registered under the scheme so far, and over ₹34 lakh in outstanding dues has already been collected. The scheme is proving highly beneficial, particularly for those whose electricity bills had been pending for several years. This is the first time the company has offered relief on the principal amount as well.
Special Team Ensuring Smooth Operations
To ensure smooth and efficient functioning of the relief camps, Torrent Power has deployed a dedicated special team. Each visiting consumer’s details are being recorded, and they are being informed in detail about the benefits of the scheme. Separate help desks have also been set up for better convenience.
The company has assured that as long as the relief scheme remains active, consumers will be extended full support at every level. It has appealed to all eligible consumers to take maximum advantage of this opportunity and clear their outstanding dues.
Consumer Convenience Top Priority
Torrent Power’s Vice President Sanjay Kumar stated that providing relief and convenience to consumers remains the company’s top priority. The scheme is an important step towards reducing the financial burden on consumers, and Torrent Power is committed to making it a success.
