The death anniversary of Lokbandhu Raj Narayan Ji—true guardian of democracy and an immortal symbol of socialism and mass movements—was observed with deep respect, honor, and resolve at the Samajwadi Party District Office on Fatehabad Road, Agra. Party leaders and workers paid floral tributes to his portrait and offered heartfelt homage.
The program was jointly presided over by District President Udal Singh Kushwaha and City President Shabbir Abbas. Addressing the gathering, District President Udal Singh Kushwaha said that Lokbandhu Raj Narayan Ji was not merely a politician, but a living embodiment of ideology, courage, and people’s struggle. His fearless fight to protect democracy during the dark days of the Emergency is etched in golden letters in Indian political history. He devoted his entire life to the cause of the poor, oppressed, and marginalized.
City President Shabbir Abbas stated that by defeating former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi from Rae Bareli in 1977, Lokbandhu Raj Narayan Ji proved that in a democracy, the people are supreme. His thoughts, struggles, and life philosophy continue to inspire the socialist movement even today. He added that the Samajwadi Party is continuously striving, with firm resolve, to form a welfare-oriented government in 2027 by following Lokbandhu Ji’s ideals.
At the conclusion of the program, all present took a pledge to remain committed to building the India envisioned by Lokbandhu Raj Narayan Ji—an egalitarian, just, and democratic society.
