Agra — Muhammad Iqbal, the khateeb of Masjid Nehar Wali in Sikandra, addressed global misconceptions about Muslims during his Friday sermon today. He said that around the world it is widely assumed that Muslims aim for political dominance, and this misunderstanding has led to them being targeted and treated like strangers in many countries.
Referring to a recent example from New York, he noted that in a city with only nine percent Muslim population, a Muslim individual—considered not very popular by many—achieved remarkable success in a short time. Despite openly expressing his Muslim identity, speaking against Israel’s ongoing actions, and even stating that Netanyahu should be arrested if he visited New York, he still secured victory.
Muhammad Iqbal called this an “extraordinary achievement,” emphasizing that when a person strengthens their intention and works with full dedication, the help of Allah also comes. He said this incident is a major lesson for Muslims: they must stay united and continue fulfilling their responsibilities, for true success comes only from Allah.
