Cricket fans to enjoy stadium-like excitement at GIC Ground on May 23-24
Agra: The Board of Control for Cricket in India is all set to bring the excitement of the Indian Premier League to Agra with the IPL 2026 Fan Park, scheduled to be held on May 23 and 24 at the GIC Ground. Ahead of the event, the official IPL Fan Park jersey was unveiled during a grand ceremony held at Holiday Inn on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, BCCI representative Irfan Dadan said that the main objective of the IPL Fan Park is to deliver the thrill of IPL matches to cricket lovers who are unable to experience the action live in stadiums. He added that the Agra edition promises to offer fans an unforgettable cricketing atmosphere.
Agra Cricket Association President Sunil Joshan stated that Agra is hosting the IPL Fan Park for the fourth time on such a grand scale. He said visitors would get a unique combination of live cricket action, entertainment, and high-energy fan engagement.
Association Director Pooran Dawar informed that several entertainment activities have also been planned alongside the live match screenings. He said the aim is to create an enjoyable experience for visitors of all age groups and allow them to feel the IPL excitement up close.
IPL Fever to Reach 50 Cities
The IPL 2026 Fan Park will travel across 50 cities in India, offering cricket enthusiasts a stadium-like viewing experience. Giant LED screens will broadcast live matches, while attractions such as cheering zones, face painting, shout-outs, crazy stunts, and interactive entertainment activities will add to the excitement.
Entry to the Fan Park will remain completely free for all visitors. Fans will also enjoy music performances, official merchandise, food stalls, cold beverages, and a variety of interactive games during the two-day celebration.
A Platform for Cricket Passion
Organizers said the Fan Park will give fans an opportunity to openly showcase their passion for their favorite teams and players. More than one million cricket enthusiasts are expected to participate in IPL Fan Park events across the country this season, making the atmosphere even more vibrant and energetic.
Among those present on the occasion were Agra Cricket Association Joint Secretaries Sarvesh Bhatnagar and Chandra Mohan Sachdeva, along with Sumit Sharma and Shikha Jhingran.
