New Delhi, March 28 — DP World has announced the renewal and expansion of its strategic partnership with Delhi Capitals, reinforcing its long-term commitment to supporting both elite performance and grassroots cricket development across India.
Under the renewed agreement, DP World will continue to serve as the franchise’s Global Logistics Partner, ensuring seamless and efficient logistics operations that enable the team to perform at the highest level. The collaboration builds on a successful three-year association that has combined high-performance support with impactful community outreach initiatives.
A key highlight of the partnership has been the ‘Beyond Boundaries Initiative’, launched in 2023, aimed at promoting cricket at the grassroots level. Through this program, DP World has delivered 13 repurposed shipping containers and distributed over 3,300 cricket kits across eight countries, helping create accessible playing environments for aspiring cricketers.
In India, the initiative has already made a significant impact in cities such as Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Guwahati, Lucknow, and Chennai. In the Delhi-NCR region specifically, DP World has installed two repurposed shipping containers, transforming them into fully equipped, multi-purpose cricket pavilions. Additionally, more than 500 cricket kits have been distributed to support emerging talent and improve access to essential sporting infrastructure.
Hemant Kumar Ruia, Country Manager, DP World Subcontinent (India), said the partnership reflects the company’s commitment to enabling excellence both on and off the field. He noted that over the past three years, DP World has contributed to grassroots cricket through infrastructure support, equipment distribution, and masterclasses conducted by cricketing legends.
Sunil Gupta, Chief Executive Officer of Delhi Capitals, emphasized that DP World has brought a strong sense of purpose and community focus to the partnership. He added that the company’s efforts to expand access to cricket have added significant value to the collaboration, and the franchise looks forward to continuing this journey together.
As part of the renewed partnership, DP World has also opened the ‘DP World Delhi Capitals Arena’ in Gurugram to the public. The facility will offer 1,000 hours of free playtime, providing fans, young cricketers, and the wider community with an opportunity to experience the game firsthand and develop their skills.
The renewed agreement further strengthens the relationship between DP World and Delhi Capitals. Notably, DP World has also been the Title Partner of the Delhi Capitals Women’s Team since 2024, underscoring its growing involvement in the development of cricket across formats and levels.
