Agra: Dr. MPS World School celebrated its Annual Sports Day with great zeal, excitement, and true sporting spirit on the school grounds. The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, marking the formal inauguration of the day’s activities.
The opening ceremony featured an impressive Torch Relay followed by a well-coordinated and disciplined March Past by students of different houses. The synchronized performance reflected unity, confidence, and dedication, drawing loud applause from parents and guests.
The celebration was further enriched by yoga displays, melodious group songs, vibrant dance performances, track races, and various cultural presentations. The enthusiastic participation of students added color and energy to the event.
Parents Join the Celebration
In a unique initiative, several fun sports competitions were organized for parents as well, encouraging their active involvement. Winners among both students and parents were felicitated with medals and certificates in recognition of their outstanding performances.
Inspiring Words from the Leadership
Chairman Squadron Leader A.K. Singh, while addressing the gathering, emphasized that success in life is not confined to academic excellence alone. He stated that sports cultivate discipline, patience, leadership, and teamwork—qualities essential for achieving meaningful success. He encouraged students to work hard, remain honest, and dedicate themselves to the service of the nation, adding that the country’s future rests in the hands of its youth.
Principal Rakhi Jain highlighted the significance of sports in ensuring holistic development. She remarked that sports are the key to maintaining a healthy body and a healthy mind and urged students to actively participate in physical activities to build team spirit and resilience.
Dean Administration Chandrashekhar Dang, along with Yogi Chahar, Pooja Yadav, and members of the teaching fraternity, were present during the event.
