Agra: A two-day “Maa Sadhna Inter-School Kho-Kho Tournament” was inaugurated today at Agra Public School, Artoni, Agra with great enthusiasm. The event was formally inaugurated by the chief guest Mrs. Reena Singh, former captain of the Indian Korfball Team. Mr. Pawan Singh, District Secretary of Kho-Kho, was present as the special guest.
The chief guests were warmly welcomed by Mr. Abhinav Sharma, Vice Chairman, Agra Public Group of Institutions, and Dr. Richa Sharma. While addressing the students, Mrs. Reena Singh highlighted the importance of sports for maintaining good health and physical fitness and wished the young players a bright and successful future.
School Principal Mr. D. S. Verma extended his blessings and encouraged students to actively participate in sports for overall development. The programme was efficiently conducted by Mrs. Richa Chaudhary and Ms. Ekta Verma.
The tournament witnessed participation from 15 boys’ teams and 12 girls’ teams representing various schools across Agra. The teams qualifying for the semi-finals are:
Boys’ Category: APS Artoni, St. Francis, NIS, B. D. Convent
Girls’ Category: APS Artoni, St. Francis, Lifeline, NIS
The successful organization of the tournament was made possible with the significant contributions of Amit Chaudhary, Manoj Chaudhary, Sandeep Chaudhary, Dinesh Singh, Madhav, K. P. Sharma, and other team members.
The semi-finals, finals, and the closing ceremony with prize distribution will be held on December 23, 2025.
