New Delhi, Mr. Mo Luckman Ali, a wrestler and a proud alumnus and staff member of the Games & Sports Department at Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), has secured 5th position in the 7th Asian Zurkhaneh Sports & Koshti Pahlavani Championship-2025, held in Urumieh, Iran from October 8 to 11, 2025. A total of 20 countries participated in this prestigious tournament. Mr. Luckman holds a B.A. (Hons.) in Hindi and an M.A. in Social Work from JMI. He is an exceptional athlete who has represented JMI in numerous state, national, and international wrestling competitions, earning several medals.
Prof. Mazhar Asif, the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of JMI, extended his congratulations to Mr. Luckman and commended his dedication in attaining this significant recognition and for bringing laurels to Jamia at the international sporting arena.
Prof. Md. Mahtab Alam Rizvi, the Registrar of JMI, praised Mr. Ali for his extraordinary performance at the Championship in Iran and wished him luck for future tournaments.
