Shri Shyam Mitra Mandal to Organise a Four-Day Event Featuring Mass Flag Procession, Cow Service and Marriage of Underprivileged Girls
Agra:The city of the Taj is set to immerse itself in the divine devotion of Shri Shyam Baba, fondly known as “Haare Ke Sahare Baba Shyam Hamare,” who is believed by devotees to fulfil every heartfelt wish. For the first time, Shri Shyam Mitra Mandal and Shri Shyam Mahila Mitra Mandal, Loha Mandi, are jointly organising a grand four-day religious and social programme dedicated to glorifying Shri Shyam Prabhu.
The official poster of the event was unveiled at Jain Smriti Bhawan, Jaipur House, marking the formal announcement of the celebrations.
Speaking on the occasion, Abhi Jain, President of Shri Shyam Mitra Mandal, Loha Mandi, said that a grand and colourful Nishan Yatra (flag procession) will be organised on January 15, starting from Chhota Chauraha, Loha Mandi, and culminating at Shri Khatu Shyam Ji Temple, Jeevan Mandi. Devotees dressed in yellow attire will participate in the procession, chanting “Jai Shri Shyam” and expressing their devotion with great enthusiasm.
Amit Agarwal, General Secretary of the Mandal, informed that on January 16, from 10:00 a.m. onwards, a divine offering of 56 Bhog will be organised at Shri Krishna Gaushala, Shahganj, as part of Gau Seva (cow service). The programme will be held with the sacred resolve of “Gau Seva is Narayan Seva.”
Atul Gupta, Treasurer of the Mandal, stated that on January 17, the Mahila Mandal will organise a special “Shri Shyam Naam Mehndi” ceremony at Puniya Pada Pathwari Temple, Loha Mandi, celebrating devotion through traditional rituals.
According to Akhil Agarwal, Media In-charge, on January 18 at 12:00 noon, the Mandal will solemnise the marriage of two underprivileged girls in accordance with Vedic rituals at Jain Smriti Bhawan, Jaipur House. The couples will also be presented with essential household items to support their married life.
Active Participation of Shri Shyam Mahila Mitra Mandal
The four-day event will witness, for the first time, the vibrant participation of women devotees, symbolising collective devotion and social commitment. Pooja Radhe Agarwal, President of Shri Shyam Mahila Mitra Mandal, announced that a grand Bhajan Sandhya will be held on January 18 from 5:00 p.m. onwards, featuring renowned Shri Shyam bhajan singers from across the country. The evening will showcase a magnificent and divine court of Shri Shyam Baba, complete with exquisite floral adornment and traditional itar (fragrance) seva.
