Agra,The land of love and culture — Agra — once again witnessed a heartwarming moment when a foreign couple from Colombia, Camila and Edwin, tied the knot following traditional Hindu Vedic rituals, creating a beautiful example of cross-cultural harmony.

The entire ceremony was organized and managed by the Agra-based travel company Walks By Arif, which not only showcased the depth of Indian culture and hospitality but also offered the guests an immersive cultural experience.
The wedding rituals — from Haldi and Mehendi to the Baraat, Jaimala, and the seven sacred vows (Saptapadi) — were performed in full traditional grandeur, filling the atmosphere with spirituality and joy. The groom, Edwin, donned a golden Sherwani and a traditional turban, while the bride, Camila, looked radiant in a traditional Indian outfit, reflecting the elegance and beauty of Indian aesthetics.

As the sound of drums, music, and dancing filled the venue, the foreign guests enthusiastically participated in the ceremonies, embodying the Indian spirit of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” — the world is one family.
The grand ceremony took place at Kesar Restaurant, Agra, with every detail of the event — from décor to rituals and guest experience — meticulously handled by the Walks By Arif team. The event was not just a wedding, but a celebration of culture, love, and harmony, showcasing the timeless beauty of Indian traditions on an international platform.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Arif Qureshi, Managing Director of Walks By Arif, said,“Indian culture is not just to be seen — it is to be felt. When foreign guests embrace these traditions and make them part of their lives, it becomes a moment of pride for us. Our aim is that every visitor experiences not only the beauty of India but also its soul.”
He further added that his company continually promotes experiential tourism that allows visitors to engage deeply with Indian traditions, beliefs, and hospitality.“We view every event as a cultural journey — where respect, simplicity, and warmth take center stage,” he said.
After the ceremony, an emotional Camila and Edwin expressed their gratitude, saying,“We not only got married in India but also felt the love, culture, and togetherness of this beautiful land. This has been the most sacred and memorable experience of our lives.”
Local citizens and international guests also attended the celebration, describing it as a perfect blend of Indian and Western cultures. The event highlighted that tourism is not merely about sightseeing but about connecting people, emotions, and traditions — building bridges between cultures.
