Former President of the Minority Department of City Congress, Basheer Ul Haq Rocky, strongly reacted to the recent statements of the Central Government and the Prime Minister, saying that if the Prime Minister of the country is asking people “not to buy gold for a year, reduce travelling, and use gas, petrol, and diesel only when necessary,” then it clearly reflects the country’s worsening economic condition and the hardships faced by common citizens.
Basheer Ul Haq Rocky said that inflation has reached its peak today. The prices of cooking gas, petrol, diesel, and essential daily-use commodities are continuously rising, affecting the middle class, poor, and labourers the most. He stated that people are already being forced to cut down their expenses, and instead of giving such advice, the government should take concrete steps to control inflation.
He further said that the common citizen of the country is struggling with unemployment, business losses, and rising prices. The government should provide relief in petrol, diesel, and gas prices to give economic support to the people and make life easier for them.
Rocky added that the Congress Party has always raised its voice for the common people and will continue its struggle against inflation, unemployment, and issues concerning public welfare in the future as well.
