Agra: A grand and vibrant procession was organised in Agra to celebrate the birth anniversary of Lord Jesus Christ, showcasing a strong message of peace, unity and brotherhood. The procession began from St. Mary’s Church, Pratap Pura, passed through Sadar Bazaar and Saudagar Line, and culminated at St. George’s Cathedral Church, Sadar.
All churches of Agra actively participated in the procession. Beautifully decorated tableaux representing various churches were taken out, with three camel-mounted tableaux emerging as a major attraction for the public. Large numbers of devotees and citizens gathered along the route to witness the event.
Priests from all the churches were present on the occasion, including Father Pankaj, Father Indrajeet, Father Arpan, Father Praveen, Father Mishra Jacob, Father Sawari, Vinay Prakash, Anil Vikal, Subhash, Jacob Lal, among others.
Also present were Bashir-ul-Haq (Rocky), President of the City Congress Committee Minority Department, Robin Lal, and several social activists.
Speaking on the occasion, Bashir-ul-Haq (Rocky) said that the life and teachings of Jesus Christ convey the message of love, sacrifice, peace and humanity. Such celebrations strengthen communal harmony and reflect India’s rich tradition of unity in diversity.
The programme was conducted successfully with the dedicated support of Invoke Lal. The procession concluded peacefully amid festive enthusiasm and religious fervour.
