Agra: The two-day annual fest “Umang” at Shrimati B.D. Jain Girls P.G. College concluded with vibrant and colorful cultural performances. The event was inaugurated by the Vice-Chancellor of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Professor Ashu Rani, who lit the ceremonial lamp.
Under the guidance of Convener Professor Meera Agrawal, students of the Music Department presented a deeply emotional performance of Draupadi Cheer Haran, leaving the audience moved. B.Ed. students staged the play “Operation Sindoor,” delivering a strong message of women empowerment and patriotism. A lively Holi dance performance added joy and festive spirit to the atmosphere.
Principal Professor Vandana Agrawal presented the annual progress report of the college. Professor C.K. Gautam, Principal of Agra College, and Professor Seema Bhadauria, Principal of Bichpuri College, appreciated the exhibition models of Metro and Buland Darwaza prepared by students.
Books authored by Dr. Neelam Kant, Dr. Naseem Akhtar, and Dr. Shikha were also released. Meritorious students Kashish Prajapati, Kanchan, and Leena Mahaur were honored for securing highest marks. Divyanshi and Preeti received cash scholarships.
The program was skillfully conducted by Dr. Pratima Singh. Members of the management committee, faculty, and a large number of students were present.
