Agra to become the hub of export policy, industry dialogue and global trade on January 9–10
Agra | With the objective of strengthening India’s position on the global export map, the Uttar Pradesh Export Symposium 2026–27 will be held on January 9 and 10 at DoubleTree by Hilton, Agra.
The two-day high-profile export summit aims to provide strategic direction to India’s export ecosystem in line with Export Vision 2030.
The formal announcement of the symposium was made on Thursday during a press event held at Hotel Holiday Inn, Hari Parvat, Agra, in the presence of key policymakers, industry leaders and trade bodies.

Agra to host policy–industry–market dialogue
The announcement ceremony was inaugurated with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by
Rakesh Garg, Chairman, UP Small Industries Corporation and Patron of the event, along with
Puran Dabar, President, Leather & Footwear Industry Council and Organising Committee Chairman,
Manish Agrawal Ravi, Secretary and Programme Convener,
Anuj Kumar, Joint Commissioner Industries,
Gopal Gupta, President, FMEC,
Kishore Khanna, Chairman, Advisory Committee,
Vijay Gupta, District President, Laghu Udyog Bharati,
Rajeev Bansal, General Secretary,
Sanjay Goyal, President, National Chamber,
and representatives from glass, handicraft, food processing, MSME and export associations.
Exports are the backbone of economic strength: Rakesh Garg
Addressing the gathering, Rakesh Garg said that exports play a decisive role in strengthening any economy in today’s competitive global environment.
Uttar Pradesh has immense export potential in sectors such as MSMEs, ODOP products, agriculture, handicrafts, leather, footwear, food processing and manufacturing.
He stated that the symposium will serve as a direct platform for dialogue between policymakers, industry and global markets, which is essential for sustainable export growth.
A strategic roadmap, not just a conference: Puran Dabar
Organising Committee Chairman Puran Dabar said the UP Export Symposium is not merely a conference, but a strategic roadmap-building platform for exporters.
Discussions will focus on export regulations, quality standards, global market demand, digital trade, e-commerce and logistics, enabling MSME exporters to compete effectively at the international level.
Theme: “Empowering India’s Exports for a Global Future”
Programme Convener Manish Agrawal Ravi informed that the symposium will be organised under the theme
“Empowering India’s Exports for a Global Future.”
Expert sessions will cover a wide range of topics including:
- India’s Export Vision 2030
- Global trade trends and FTAs
- MSME and ODOP export empowerment
- Digital and e-commerce exports
- Quality compliance and certifications
- Export finance, insurance and risk management
- Logistics and supply chain modernisation

- Green and sustainable exports
He added that policymakers, senior government officials, exporters, industry leaders, banks, insurance companies, logistics firms, startups and international buyers will participate, providing new direction to Uttar Pradesh’s export ecosystem.
Export Growth Catalyst Awards 2026
The concluding session of the symposium will feature the Export Growth Catalyst Awards 2026, honouring enterprises and individuals for outstanding export performance and innovation, thereby encouraging healthy competition and excellence in the export sector.
Focus on Brand India and global competitiveness
FMEC President Gopal Gupta stated that the symposium will deliberate extensively on strengthening “Brand India” in global markets, identifying sector-specific export opportunities, promoting export clusters, enhancing logistics infrastructure and building international buyer-seller networks.
Special emphasis will be laid on sustainable exports, export financing solutions and practical risk management strategies.
