Agra:The social wing of Dawat-e-Islami India, Gharib Nawaz Relief Foundation (GNRF), organised a public awareness programme on drug de-addiction under the theme “Say No To Drugs”. The primary objective of the programme was to spread effective awareness against the rapidly increasing menace of drug abuse in society, with special focus on guiding the youth towards a healthy, safe and drug-free life.
Addressing the gathering, Prof. Arif Attari, head of GNRF Mumbai Region, highlighted the severe and long-term negative impacts of drug addiction on individuals, families and society. Through video presentations and PPTs displayed on a large screen, he explained practical ways to protect oneself and others from this life-threatening addiction. He urged people from all sections of society to actively support GNRF’s anti-drug campaign to help build a strong and healthy society, essential for national progress.
Speaking on the occasion, Haji Sultan Sahab encouraged people to eliminate social evils, promote mutual love and harmony, and work collectively for the development of the nation.
The programme was attended by Haji Rizwan, Director of FH Hospital; Syed Mohtashim Ali, Sajjadanashin of the Dargah; Councillor Manoj Bhai; Raza Khan; Advocate Haji Shanu Qureshi; Arif Attari, along with office bearers of GNRF and several prominent citizens.
The awareness programme was held at Dargah Ameer Abul Ula, Mela Ground, Karbala, New Agra, Agra, and witnessed enthusiastic participation from local residents and youth, who pledged to contribute towards building a drug-free society.
