Appreciates Imran Pratapgarhi’s Initiative, Says India Will Run on Constitution and Harmony
New Delhi:Rahul Gandhi attended the first meeting of the Minority Advisory Council held at the newly inaugurated Congress headquarters, “Indira Bhawan,” in New Delhi. The meeting was organized under the leadership of Imran Pratapgadhi, Chairman of the Minority Department of the All India Congress Committee and Rajya Sabha MP.

During the meeting, Rahul Gandhi praised Imran Pratapgarhi’s initiative of bringing together Congress leaders, social activists, and representatives from minority communities from across the country on one platform. He described the effort as an important step towards strengthening constitutional values, social harmony, and democratic unity.
The meeting witnessed detailed discussions on the growing challenges facing India’s social fabric, constitutional principles, and democratic freedoms. Members of the council expressed concern over attempts by divisive and communal forces to weaken harmony, brotherhood, and democratic values in the country.
Addressing the gathering, Rahul Gandhi said that the politics of hatred would not survive for long. He stated that the economic crisis and rising unemployment in the country would eventually weaken divisive politics.
Rahul Gandhi said, “I know people are being threatened and falsely implicated, but there is no need to be afraid. This country will run according to the Constitution and with love and harmony. The Congress party stands firmly with every oppressed and marginalized person.”
He urged members of minority communities to actively participate in politics, raise their voices democratically, and strengthen the Minority Department of the Congress party.
Speaking on the occasion, Imran Pratapgarhi said that Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Jains, Buddhists, and other minority communities were being targeted, but Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party were standing strongly against hatred and injustice. He added that the Congress party would continue to raise its voice for anyone facing oppression in the country.
The meeting was attended by minority leaders, social activists, and Congress representatives from different states, who reaffirmed their commitment to protecting constitutional values, democracy, and communal harmony in India.
